Dibella takes responsibility here and is committed to human rights, environmental protection and health. Sustainability that benefits everyone involved. Even in our standard range, we attach great importance to compliance with social and environmental criteria. For example, the majority of our range is MADE IN GREEN/with the GREEN BUTTON certification (you will find detailed information about the respective certificates on the respective products).
For our Good Textiles products, we go one big step further: in close cooperation with the Chetna cooperative, we use the most sustainable cotton and further processing.
Human toxicology - we ensure human toxicological safety
Design - We develop products that are as durable as possible and make the best possible use of materials to avoid production waste
Material - We strive to increase the proportion of sustainable cotton according to defined criteria:
Quality and fit - We offer durable products and constantly optimise their quality.
Easy care - We support our customers in the care of our textiles by providing washing and care instructions created with our quality management. This saves resources, minimises the environmental impact and makes the textiles last longer.
Recyclability - We strive to develop recyclable articles. With our "Versailles" item, we will be offering the first circular bed linen from the beginning of 2024.
(Price) value - We communicate the value of our articles through an appropriate price.
Packaging - We avoid unnecessary packaging and substitute packaging materials with recycled materials or materials of more sustainable origin.
Logistics - We use the most environmentally optimal transport routes and vehicles. To minimise our carbon footprint, air freight is categorically ruled out for us.
Supply Chain Management - We provide transparency by disclosing the supply chain. We have a clear supplier portfolio with long-term relationships and only cooperate with suppliers who meet our sustainability requirements. We contribute to the knowledge development of our suppliers by offering training. We continuously optimise our quality management. We take care to reduce the environmental impact of transport.
Farmer subsidies - With our Organic Fairtrade products we contribute to fair pay for our Organic Fairtrade Cotton Farmers.
Living wages – Dibella strives to promote the payment of living wages in the supply chain.
Working conditions - Implementation of the Code of Labour Practice - We contribute to the improvement of working conditions in production and establish a continuous improvement process.
Multi-stakeholder relationship in the country of origin - We improve interaction with identified stakeholder groups.
Life Cycle Objectives - We ensure human toxocological and environmental safety through optimised chemical and wastewater management. We also reduce our carbon footprint in production.
Closed Loop - We seek collaborations to establish take-back systems. Dibella is founding member of CIBUTEX.
Value-based site development - We promote local suppliers outside the textile value chain. We promote traditional techniques and local biodiversity among our textile suppliers. We exclude certain countries and regions to ensure respect for human rights.
Customer - We increase our transparency all the way to the customer.
Sustainability awareness - We support our customers with marketing materials to raise sustainability awareness among their customers as well.
Sustainability knowledge - We pass on our knowledge to our customers through training and joint supplier visits.
Quality awareness - We communicate openly about different product qualities and thus create awareness for a worthwhile investment in sustainably produced goods.
